Some of the popular artists who have performed at Bagaberde are Nyoy Volante and Mannos, Paolo Santos, Barbie’s Cradle, The Dawn, Noel Cabangon, Aliya Parcs, True Faith, Nina, Aiza Seguerra, Jimmy Bondoc, U-Turn, MYMP, Kyla, Divo, MP3, Wiseguys, Side A, Freestyle, South Border and lots more. Even the international singer keith martin dropped by to sing a couple of songs for the audience of Bagaberde in a surprise visit.
So why is bagaberde a favorite stop among the artists?
The place boast of its good sound system and most especially — the very appreciative crowd. Artists love to perform in a place where the crowd is alive and very appreciative. You should see the place. It’s packed even during mondays. Filipinos by nature love music, especially good filipino music.
Bagaberde is not all music
It also pride itself of its excellent filipino cuisine. They have a very good variety of grilled dishes, as well as their other fare like the kare-kare, kaldereta, sisig, crispy pata and pinakbet. Servings are big and are for sharing, but not at all expensive. All of the dishes on the menu are reasonable priced. That is probably the reason why Bagaberde is the favorite place among the young profesionals and barkadas.
How did Bagaberde started?
A group of young enterprising executives headed by its managing partner, Chester Gellido, thought of putting up a place to unwind after a hard day’s work at the office. What was suppose to simply be an ihaw ihaw type of concept for a drinking place that will combine cold beer, good bar chows and delightful music turned into a lively and fun place now. Thanks to the owners of the place who are not simply contented with what they have. They continue to innovate and improve. They now have a state-of-the-art 70″ inch video screen that shows the latest music videos, as well as music videos from the 80’s and the 90’s. They boast of a wide array of music video DVD’s, mostly bought in the states. They also have a couple of billiard tables if you feel like playing a round of nine balls!
Events and parties
Event organizer, likewise love to hold their gigs at bagaberde. School events, corporate parties, product launches, are just some of the events that book their gigs at Bagaberde. Even radio stations hold their promotional events at Bagaberde. Most of the FM radio stations have held an event or two at Bagaberde.
